Is this Normal?
Hi
I want to know when I soft delete the threads the unregistered users and registered users can see it has been deleted , http://www.hotwebhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=54 Pls follow the above URL it shows that its been deleted. Is this really normal? Thank you. |

It's a permission in the usergroup settings.
Forum Viewing Permissions > Can See Deletion Notices Set this to No for anyone except Mods/Admins. |

Hi, Yeah I have created a new user group and by mistake I have given Show edited by note on edited messages? Yes and Can See Deletion Notices Yes , But now I have updated it as NO but still its not changed on the forum view . is there any other thing that I have to do ?

It's an option in every usergroup, you have to edit all your usergroups and set it to no (except the admin group, and mods groups if you want them to see them).

Hi John,
Just edit the post with a full stop then repost, 'your last edited' message should disappear. I am assuming that you have altered the preference in your 'User' 'admin' preferences. Hope this helps! |
