Ranksets...
Again I bring this up. A member at my forums wanted a custom rankset. I made it for him, but I had to go through making sure it was applied to usergroups. There was a vB 2.x.x hack that allowed simple user selection (a drop-down box in Profile) to handle this, instead of usergroups. The admin side is annoying too. Could this hack be done for vB 3.5??

I still don't understand what the hack does. The member there doesn't show any screenshots. I'm guessing a member can pick a 'category' in to which he blongs to.
Example: Category A would show a pic for category A in his postbit¿ |

Yes, if a user joins category "Army," then his forum rankings are drawn from the Army cat. But if he joins "Star Trek" his ranks are Star Trek ones. Army would be Private, PFC etc. Star Trek would be Ensign, Lt. etc. And all the ranks are administered by the AdminCP. Otherwise you could use usergroups to do it (that is annoying). As in you set ranks to only apply to certain usergroups, that way each usergroup has custom ranks (the ranks are determined by post count).
