Closeable Advertisement
I was looking around for ideas on where to place advertisements on my boards and came across this one:
http://www.gamingforums.com/ As you can see, they have an advertisement that closes; apparently with a subscription. Is there a modification I haven't come across with my searching that is capable of doing this -- Creating an advertisement "block" that can be hidden from suscribed users? |

simply use usergroups and conditionals around your ads..
personally, i use the Geek Advertising Banner system. you can specify which usergroups have the ability to turn ads off, and add that as a field in their user CP. |

The "Geek Advertising Banner System" looks nice, but it doesn't appear to have a login system for the advertisers to view the details of their advertising plan (how many clicks/views they have had)
As for this conditional usergroup thing...I'm guessing it involves direct code with the banner. Is there someplace I can get the code for this? |

There is... its just not all the way complete yet. The only key area that isnt refined (and why its still in RC) is that the stat viewer needs to be cleaned up a bit. However it does currently work
