A lot of information there. Even with that you won't really know until you try. If you are thinking about taking on some clients and doing custom skins you might want to consider a leased license. Its only $85 as opposed to the $160 for the full license, if you are only going to use it for client work then thats the way I would go. After a few months you should know if you are getting enough bussiness to warrent a full license. With the going rates I have seen for custom vB skins, it would'nt take many jobs to make up for the cost of the license. If you are good and can deliver people will buy your skins. There are fewer people out there making skins for vB then other forums imho. I have see a lot of designers come and go, and leave angry clients behind. I think most of them just took on to many clients at once and go overloaded with work. Anyway you might want to open an admin demo so you can play with the style system yourself before buying vBulletin. |
