I realy think you should think about using other colors ::
What about forum spacing wouldn?t hurt either.
The 1st and 2nd alternate colors don?t realy fit together either.

I think a forum thats main topic is photoshop (design) should be a well designed one.

Why not ask your members if they are interested to design your forum?
Maybe make a contest or such and give the winner something...

I realy would work on this!
