Congratulations! You run the worlds most confusing set of websites
I swear this 'group' of websites are the most confusing websites I have ever come across. There are several identical looking sites with different forums and you need to be licensed to access some (which I am) and you can make requests on some but not others. I came here to buy a VB skin and now my head is spinning. Perhaps you should write a detailed users manual for your website(s). Or better yet, combine them into only one. As a potential customer I can tell you it's extremely difficult to get answers and even know where to ask the questions. It's like I am in a circus jumping through hoops. I thought coming here looking to make a purchase and also hire someone to do customization, people would jump all over the offer, but I guess this must be a very lucrative business, where you only need to accept work here & there.

I don't find it to be confusing at all, if you look at it deep enough. There are 3 main (english) websites, vBulletin.com, vBulletin.org, and vBulletinTemplates.com; all have different purposes and all users have to be licensed to access them. Why would you need access if you are not a licensed customer? .
vBulletinTemplates is targeted at offering template modifications for the vBulletin software, it is not our job to maintain an allowable forum for every request, just as it is not for vBulletin.com/.org. There are PLENTY of designers and skinning websites of which you may contact without a problem and I am sure you will be able to find a designer for you that would be willing to work with you. In Short: vBulletin.com - Main Product Support vBulletin.org - Main Hacking Support vBulletinTemplates.com - Main Template Modifcation Support |

I am not referring to vbulletin.com or .org. I am referring to vbulletintemplates.com and vbulletinstyles.com/forums/. THey are like the same site only with different DB contents. I think there was a 3rd similar one too, I may be wrong though. Also the license requirement is not a bad feature, but it is definately not clearly explained without browsing the forums and posting questions to find out. Finally the feel the forum design is a bit hard on the eyes. Yes it looks clean and professional, but something about it makes it hard to view. Maybe the font size or type. Not sure. Probably also the fixed width.

There are a few sites which are not supported by Jelsofts licence agreements, only the 3 main sites (.com, .org and vBT.com)
vBulletinStyles, for instance, is not supported by the Licence system (vBT was agreed to use it after it was a huge success among vB users) |

vBulletinStyles is a skin development website, not a template modification resource; you are speaking of 2 totally different things there .

Also, the only official Jelsoft sites (in addition to vB-Germany) were just listed by SaintDog. All the others are run by normal users.

And I suggest you look in the sticky thread in this forum. It's quite straightforward on what you need to do to become a licensed user here.

Why do three seperate forums have this same design? Doesn't that make it unnecessarily confusing?

The design here is a design that is sold through vBulletinStyles.com, though vBS does not have any direct affiliate with Jelsoft or vBulletin, other than the fact that they sell skins for the software. I am the creator of the skin you see here, which is why it is also used here at vBulletinTemplates.
vBulletinTemplates WILL be receiving a new design in the upcoming few weeks to a month so this design will not be here much longer as a main design. With the new design will come a few more items and a more edited template structure than currently. |
