The best host for beginners is localhost. Their support reeks and is rude and the server is always down when my cable goes out but they're free! I get 20 GB of storage!

That link did not work for me. 20 GB is alright I would like to check that out. Yes I am a beginner but trying to learn what I can as fast as I can. Again people, thank you for your help here.

localhost is your own computer

I pay for my license and hosting, comes to around $200 a year. Once your forum gets big enough members and ads can chip in but it's not every day that your forums end up paying for themselves.

http://localhost , or http://127.0.0.1 is your computers server...like if you havew apache installed or something, it will open that dir

yeah...we are not mean here at vBT - thats what i like about this community!

i know i could have called you stuff...but there was no need! we were ALL n00bs at 1 point!

if he doesnt know what a localhost is...he probably wont need rachshack - thats SERIOUS dedicated hosting there
