No, it has it and a few other security fixes. And a few misc. fixes.

no idea...but i know that im probably just gonna wait til the next "larger" update....like 2.2.9.1...or whatever the hell they are calling it!

Let's not get carried away, all releases have been in the form of X.x.x (i.e. 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.2.3, 2.2.4, and so on). If there was not a reason for the release, they would not release it; they only suggest you upgrade, they are not forcing you to upgrade.

This is not directed at everyone, but some people act as if they should not release the releases when they find something wrong; chances are if they found it, so will someone else, perhaps someone that will use the exploit against you.

Software & Scripts are not perfect and hardly ever will be as things are always changing and the need for new things are always in the midst. As long as there is a need, there will be updates and changes that take place and need to be applied for your saftey.

While most are awaiting vBulletin 3.0, let's take it easy and wait until then, no reason to make a deal about their upgrade procedure.

Once again...it will be 2.2.10 if it indeed comes to that.


Also, it is always wise to stay up to date, there are many programs out there that can help you upgrade hacked boards in 30 minutes to a few hours. I for one will upgrade to 2.2.9 RC and then final.

i dont like hwo every time i get my site looking nice with all kinda nice hacks and templates its time to upgrade!

Templates are not overwritten by upgrades. Even vB 3 will export your vB 2 templates for easy refrence. as for hacks you can

A. Upgrade and rehack or

B. Use a program and compare all files and find the changes from verson to verson.
