Very likely tied to vb. I'd probably die if I had to support another general audience as well. Besides ain't the vb crowd just grand ?
Frankly, to me all these SEO stuff, site marketing/promotion, doesn't really faze me. I ain't out to make millions on the internet (yes, I've always felt it was all about the molah), I've got my regular job to help me with that.
To each his own though, I guess.
Yeah, well this is my job. So I have to look at the profit end somewhere. School for kids is expensive!
Anywho, I just got to thinking that all of my eggs should not be in any one basket. Even with an owned license, if jelsoft gets on the ball and fixes all the crap URLS that are in the product, all these things could be obsolete, so I'm going for more options beyond the forum I can count on. (ok, I won't hold my breath)
I'm not giving up on forums, just trying to make them be more then forums. Nothing I added in needs any security, it's to add content for the public, so it's an effort in bloated code. vBGarage is an example, having to go through global.php to show each thumbnail sucks, when I get that worked out, I may be in better spirtis about the whole thing.
