hello people,

I use vbadvanced cmps and i have a problem with it that annoys me :cry: i mean the space the center column uses i would prefer it would not be so large my browser is showing me a scrollbar and i hate having to scroll from the left to the right (and it's not my screen resolution) anybody have any idea what i can do about this ? i have no idea which template i should edit and i don't wanna screw up my portal either

i need some advice you could see what i mean here (the center column)

It seems you have edited the template to set it for a fixed width.

Also it doesn't look like you did all the file changes and or template changes...

well yeah,

obviously i did something wrong while editing a template and or .php files question is what file ? that template displayed there is the postbit_legacy right ? (i use this instead of postbit) strange thing is i restored the original template with no better results what the heck is wrong here i'm getting nuts :beard:

look for templates of vba cms, some newsbits or whatever templates for center block (sorry, i'm not using vba cms so i can't tell you specifically).

hi,

thanks tnguy3n there is a template called "newsbits" i bet this one is used the display the content there in the centere column but i'm afraid to touch it what the heck i never had this problem before and it's getting me nervus :cry: even a remove reinstall of the cmps doesn't help

Try reverting the templates.

i just made sure all the requirerd file and template edits to make vbadvanced work are there.I even restored a backup from all the database tables vbadvanced cmps uses result => nope nothing seems to help even more

hi people,

i restored this thingy like 15 times that center column keeps being to large so i guess it must be vbulletin setting somewhere but everything is 'default' hmmmm ?????? this is getting me nuts :beard: :beard: :beard: :beard: :beard: why ooh why is that colum to large??

Hello,
The adv_portal_newsbits handles the news module. The adv_portal_news_archive handles the news archive module.

Here is the code from my adv_portal_newsbits template. Try using mine to replace yours. Mine doesn't scroll. It adds a "Read More".
