Quick Links - Admincp

What this does: This Allows you to add quick links into your admincp for your lazy self.

Edits: 2+ depending on how many links

How Long to Install: (Default) 2 minutes

First small hack/hack every, give me a break! :nervous:

Ok Firstly, download your admincp/index.php file from your ftp server.

Open it up and find:

$printhr = false;
	if (can_administer('canadminstyles'))
	{	$printhr = true;

Add After:

construct_nav_option($vbphrase['quicklink1'], 'http://www.url.com', '<br />');
		construct_nav_group("Quick Links", '<hr />');

(Of course replacing the "http://www.url.com" with your new link.)

After This, you must:

1. Create a new phrase -
type: global
phrase var: quicklink1
text: The name of your first link

After That, you can:

1. Copy and paste the first line

construct_nav_option($vbphrase['quicklink1'], 'http://www.url.com', '<br />');

and make as many links as you want.

*Note: Everytime you make a new button/link, you must change the "vbphrase" line to something else, and make a new phrase that has:

type: global
phrase var: newname
text: The name of your second+ link

Very simple yet effective hack.

I have something similar to this installed on my AdminCP to open the forum homepage in the frame then I can stay in AdminCP and look through board at the same time

umm just use this

construct_nav_option('Forum home', 'http://www.yourforum.com/', '<br />');

any link on the left menu will open on the right side.

Of course you could also just click the link that is already provided in the top right hand corner of the AdminCP that opens your forum Home in a new window.

I was actually just thinking today I needed to add some links into my admincp home to some other site related stuff tho, so this hack should come in handy.

Need a link to open in a new window. The target="_blank" doesn't work here unless I'm putting in the wrong place.

Other than that, great little mod.
