How would I achieve the following;

Profile field is filled out by a user, and everyone can see it yes? Yep. Now, I would like to have two options under this box, one that says 'Public' and another that says 'Private'.

Choosing public would work as default, where, all usergroups can see the field in the users profile. Selecting private, would allow only specified usergroups to view the field.

Additionally, how would I set it so, only users from specified usergroups have the public and private option?

Any help is appreciated.

you will need to modify a few files to get it right (error-free)... there is no short-cuts available

request a hack that is based on vb usergroup permissions in the MODIFICATION and/or SERVICE REQUEST
