Allow specified member not to be moderated
Hello,
I created one moderated forum. One of the members will be interviewed. He is not and has not to be a moderator, admin or else. He must stay a usual member, except that I would like his posts only not to be moderated. (like admin or moderators) Is there a way to do so ? Thank you |

use forum permissions / usergroup permissions / access mask

But it means creating access for a usergroup.
I would like to create rights only to one registered member without changing its group. |

What's wrong with placing the user in a 'usergroup'?
You don't have to make the group public. Also, a 'usergroup' doesn't have to be multiple people it can be one. You can also give permissions to a specific person via access mask ... you will need to enable this in vb options |

Access mask are enabled, I would prefer this solution.
I didn't succeed anyway I have moderators, supermods, admin, registered users. One specified forum is moderated for registered users (in forum properties). I tryed creating a new usergroup for the only member I don't want to be moderated. I changed access for the forum : changed the allways moderate property to false for his group, and to true for the registered users... Doesn't work... I'm lost in all parameters. It seems that the forum properties are stronger. But if I remove this property in the forum, everyone can post without beeing moderated... May you explain me how to proceed ? |

The problem with permissions is that any yes will always override all no's.

ok thank you.
Which one is the strongest ? default forum parameter, forum access parameter, usergroup parameter, or user access mask ? I'm really sorry, I never understood exactly where to set something. As I have 5000 members, I'm not allowed to make any mistake. |
