Is there a mod available to enable a select usergroup to receive email of all posts?
We have a core group of less then 100 contributors on our small specialized site who want to receive all posts in their email.
I have been giving permissions for a dozen members by adding their email as per each forum and it would be too much hassle for up to 100.

Ultimately I would like it so that members in a specified usergroup could subscribe to receive emails for all posts/new threads on their own, in subscriptions by clicking to a list of the forums, checking as per forum to `receive all posts' and alternately another check box to `receive all posts of all forums'.

It would also be handy if stats were available for admin to know how many and who are subscribed to receive emails of all posts as per forum.

Q. What would be the max number of members to allow this on a low volume site with out affecting performance.

Q. Is that any other tried and trusted receive email of all posts hacks available?

There must be an easier way then me having to keep track of numerous email addys in a 2 inch single line as is now in the admin Forums manager.

Thanks for reviving this thread because it is still a need.

I haven't had time to search this site to see if there have been any discussion of a way members could recieve emails of all posts.

I need a way to let members of a specific usergroup subscribe to receive all emails of the forums of their choice.
If a member of a specified usergroup could go to each forum and click on - `receive all posts' of this forum in the subscribe options, I'd be happy with that for a starters.

Another idea is a checkbox method of all the forums they are subscribed to, that they, (and admin) could easily modify.

All I can do is imagine, and roll my eyes and hope.

I have the same request.. being able to assign different forums for Subscriptions to user groups...

Should be a switch to recieve all or something like that...

Yes, I agree. This seems to be a much asked for hack which many would gladly even pay for. Not even looking for two-way, just the ability to allow users to recieve individual posts or a daily digest to their e-mail. Make it easy for them to do this by selected forums or all forums.

actually me and a coworker are working on something like this for a client and that it will be two way, that you are subscribed to threads and can reply to them for a post on the forum.

That'd be great... since it would seem that's about the only way it's going to get done... I believe my club wouldn't mind paying a little for it...
