Style-specific smilies
I was wondering if anyone knew of, or could possibly make a hack which would allow certain smilies for certain styles
for example... my site will have a blue style, so i wish to use blue smilies only for it.... it will also have a silver style, so i want to use silver smilies only for it, etc. |

I hate to bump this thread but I would also really like to see something like this. Does anyone know of anything?

AFAIK there is no Style setting for the smilies directory. This means a new var should be created and implemented everywhere. Sounds like a huge job. But i could be wrong on this one.

Solution: First change your smilies and post icon path.
smilies: images/smilies/biggrin.gif => {iconpath}/smilies/biggrin.gif ... and post-icon: images/icons/icon2.gif => {iconpath}/icons/icon2.gif ... Than define a replacement variable for every style: {iconpath} => yourstylepath (e.g. vB standard: images) If you use the global icon1.gif don't forget there to insert {iconpath}/icons/icon1.gif in admincp > vBulletin options > showthread. This works fine, we actually use two complete different smily-sets, the origin vB and our own special set. Is's not a trick, it's a Mystics ... Siggi |
