I would like to say thanks to the staff for this feature, and also extend the thanks by saying that it is great that you allow deletion of own posts, just because of the new trap I fell in (the above)

This is correct. This feature is superb and unique. I have no complains.

Xenon made it and if I am right he also made it so that when your posts are merge, the dateline will be the newest post's dateline that is merged. correct me if vb.org doesn't use that.

the dateline of the post is not changed here on vb.org

as it should mainly prevent bumping, and with dateline changes, bumping would work again
