vB integrated banner advertising software.
I was getting sick of the feature pack phpAdsNew, since I only use a few of the features. And really couldnt find an advertising package I liked. So, I wrote one myself.
Basically this post is just a fealer, to see if I should continue my time on this project. It's basically at the point I need it to be at for my board. But, could easily be made into something integrated into vB3. What it does so far: *) Uses the forum username and password to log into the advertising software. *) Users can purchase "Ad Views" through the ad software, via pay pal. The "View" credits are automatically applied to thier account. *) Users can run as many different advertising campains as they want. And apply thier views to each (or remove them) accordingly. *) Users upload thier own banners. Administrators are "PM'd" a notification about the upload, and atleast one of the admins must approve the banner. *) Once approved, the banner begins rotation. And the user is sent a PM. *) Once the ad credits become low on a particular banner campain, the user is notified via PM. *) Line graph jpg's showing views and hits per day on each campain. I am sure there are more things that I have forgotten.. And I have some other features (like demographics taken from user's profiles), etc that I plan to add as time and demand permits. Is this anything you guys would be interested in? I am not sure if I would charge or not, since I spent many many many hours working on this, and am the lone developer.. The software is currently completed and in production at my website. If this sort of post is not permited here, sorry mods!! I was just looking for a place to throw this idea around. |

You mention a line graph showing views and hits would be available per campain per user. Is there any way the forum administrators can also see these stats so they know who their top advertisers are?

Yes does admin have access to all the graphs?

I planned to do something like this eventually - so yes I'd be interested in not having to reinvent the wheel
