rss feed display format
the external.php displays rss feed descriptions all on one line, which makes it look messey for the user...
example from www.jwsuretybonds.com/blog Bonding Company Dropped Surety Bond Forum: Miscellaneous Bonds Posted By: Carmen97 Post Time: 03-21-2005 at 04:00 PM How I think it should display: Bonding Company Dropped Surety Bond Forum: Miscellaneous Bonds Posted By: Carmen97 Post Time: 03-21-2005 at 04:00 PM is there anyway to edit the external.php to display this in a way more pleasing to the eye? are there any plans to make this something you can edit in the admin panel? |

It's your RSS readers Job to parse and format the feed, not the feed.
Use a good quality caching RFC complient RSS reader. Anything home made is crap. The homemade RSS parsers that use open, file and fopen are crap and should NEVER be used. They abuse the feed and pollute the internet. It's rude and discourtious to not cache and have your page trigger a hit to another website every time you get a hit. /rant |

That's what I use. It's great. I have news pages and a thread posted daily. It's kinda cryptic to get at frist, but it's easy once ya see it. http://www.geckotribe.com/rss/carp/docs/conf/display/ |
