I'll try to explain more clearly

I want to merge a back-up of the 2.3.4 board with the current 2.3.4 board (because a user deleted about 200 posts, and I did not set the settings to prevent a registered user from deleting their own threads.)

If you have any ideas, I would appreciate it very much.

Ok... at least it's clear now

And even if this is not what you want to hear, my suggestion is upgrading to vB3. vB3 also has an archive built in, so those google links should come again...

I'm not sure how one would do what you're trying to...

Yes, I know about the VB3 importer..

I have two forums (one of them vb3, and the other vb2.3.4)...

Because the vb2.3.4 has over 3000 pages in google through an archives program, I don't want to upgrade that version of VB....

You wouldnt be losing many links though google, google is an active spider, it would reasearch your site almost the second you got to vB3.
