I think it's a private portal only for vb.org !

![]() You could probably achieve something similar with the Webtemplates hack.. |

Use the vbadvanced cmps, its the best global solution.

Can I set up a portal so the portal and the forum are in the same directory (main dir of the site) instead using a /forum/ dir?
So the forums keep being index whatever and the portal is portal.php. Like, people would go to my site, see /portal.php and then click forums and be in index.php?yaddayaddayadda. |

you would need to use some kind of http.access config. Its server side

So I can change the forum index to forum.php and it can still work with a setting change?
Edit: I don't really want to do that, I want the forums to be index, cause the NAME of my site ends in board so having people go to somethingboard.com/forum.php?etc kind of seems redundant. |

Then name it somethingboard.com/letmein.php won't be redundant anymore.

I can use some kind of http.access config to make people go to mysite.com/portal.php and then the forums are index, right?
Then that's what I'll do ![]() And can I approximate what the main site portal is here with vBa? I like it more than vbportal but the editing bit leaves me leery. It'll be a simple portal, just news and a few boxes. PS: Thanks for all the help guys, you rawk hard. |
