forum jump moved across from reply button

I hate having to scroll to the bottom of the page to hit go on the forum jump when it could be even with the
new post or new reply buttons and on the right side, directly under the thread or post list.

Can anyone tell me how I would move it? Thanks.

Hi Shortbus, long time no see I see you are still using UBBT for your regular site, do you have an example of your vb forum so I can have a look for you?

Yeah, still on threads. I can't make the move until all the other sites that use my db are on VB. I'm having someone make it so they're all hosted on my ip, and using the same db, but with their own styles and urls. It's taking quite a bit longer than I expected unfortunately...

Anywhere there is a reply button, I want to put the forum jump index right across from it on the right so that my users can jump right back to that forum index if they don't want to reply to a post. It's a hassle to have to scroll down to the bottom of that jump index.

This is the one area where ubbthreads is better. There are the "previous, index, next, threaded" links directly under the posts, and also at the top of the threads list, so you can go back to the main forum page.

Being an addict who reads every single post, especially on my own forums, it makes things MUCH easier having that there.

I guess I wouldn't need to "move" that, but instead add some links thaht go "up" a level there...

Okay then, here's a simple template mod that will do what you want.

Note: You will find this in two places so apply this apply this to both.
Open the SHOWTHREAD template and find:

    <if condition="$show['pagenav']"><td align="$stylevar[right]">$pagenav</td></if> 


Above it add:

PHP Code:

    <td align="$stylevar[right]">$forumjump</td> 


Optionally, you may want to remove it from it's original location, I would recommend it because the forum jump boxes can be server intensive especially with a lot of forums:
