Do you want this only for you?
Then go to ACP / Forums & Monderators / Forum Manager, edit the forum(s) and place your eMail-Address there to be notified about new posts and threads. |

What would someone who isn't an administrator do?
I'm moving my forums over to vBulletin from a software pakage that has the option for a user to subscribe to a forum. Anyone who does this receives a copy of the posts in a daily digest. My reading of the blurbs for vBulleting suggested that it had the facility for form subscription, but, pouring over the manual, I can't find any reference to such a facility. This would mean that my users got a much better service from a rather less sophisticated piece of software. I'm finding this difficult to believe. I've found how users can subscribe (to the entire board) using RSS, but not how to subscribe to specific forums via email. Have I missed something? Later: Apparently I had missed something. I'd missed "forum tools" at the top of the forum thread list. Anyone else in my position, just click on "forum tools" and you'll be presented with a drop-down menu. One of the options is "Subscribe to this forum". Panic over. |
