Is it possible to make "http://www.example.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10" appear as "http://www.example.com/forums/" ?

Yes, it's probably possible using javascript. Not sure how, but i bet it can be done.

If you are using Apache and have mod_rewrite on than you could do that easily with mod_rewrite function...

I'd suggest to use the Apache module mod_rewrite for this purpose.
Example You want your forums to be accessibyle as forumxx.html instead of forumdisplay.php?f=xx Code:
RewriteEngine On RewriteRule forum([0-9]+).html forumdisplay.php?f=$1 [QSA] |
