functions_online question

Is it at all possible to have functions_online show where logged in users are, even if they are not in the "forums" directory.

Would this mean that functions_online would have to be in the root directory for the site, and all links be changed. Thus all calls/requires for functions_online would have to be changed as well? Just wondering if it is possible, if I were to have to do all mentioned before I would assume it would be too much work for what its worth.

Hmm you could consider moving it to the root dir, then creating a new one in the old location that only contain a line to include the one in your root.
