User Merge

Not sure if this is the correct category, but here goes.

I have a user system that I created for my site and I used the same table design as vBulletin, and now I want to merge the users into the vBulletin forum and have the two registrations co-exist but I just want to make sure that when a user registers on the main site that everything is set up for the forum as well, what exactly needs to be updated on the vBulletin side when a user registers besides setting up the user in the "user" table and the "useractivation" table?

Also what template holds the VB cookies so I can set that up on the regular site as well?
