Parsing BBCode and Special Post Icons
Hi, I'm using vBulletin as a CMS and having the posts from one forum show up on the front page of my website. I was wondering if there was an easy way to parse the BBCode to HTML for front-page display, or have the WYSIWYG format to HTML.
Also, I wanted to have a special icon show up in thread icon column of the forum display page when a member of a certain usergroup makes a post in that thread (whether that user has primary or secondary membership to that usergroup). Thanks in advance! -Pin, vB modding beginner |

Sounds like a hack request to me.
I personally don't know how to do what you ask.. But it is possible to pull information from the forums using the RSS news feeder (external.php) and show that RSS feed on a non-vb page. Do a search on this site for RSS news. There is a rather recent updated RSS hack that updates the external.php file so you can specify what information you want to draw and from which forums, etc.. Might be exactly what your looking for. Scifi |
