stop annoying (weird) redirects?
In a number of occasions, vB decides to do stuff it was not asked to do, for instance, after you edit a post, you are returned to the post you just edited (what is that good for? why do I have a preview button?) - instead of jumping to showthread.php?t=THREADID#postPOSTID.
I have harvested showthread.php and couldn't find out how this stuff works. The same question goes about new replies that are reported to users via e-mail, where you get a URL for the new message, instead of seeing the whole discussion. The most annoying part about this, is that the single post view does not have a "show the whole thread" button, or something similiar! Maybe someone here knows how to stop vB from showing partial threads, and just view the whole thread while jumping to the relevant post IN the thread via a #postPOSTID in the URL? Thanks!!! |

The show single post does have a show whole thread link in the upper right hand corner.

I am talking about the screen showthread.php?p=654 for instance, yes?
At any case, I want that the full thread will be listed all the times (even after editing a post, etc). The lack of a link was a secondary complaint Does anyone here know where is the processing that makes vB redirect to a single post instead of a full thread? |
