Sure, now he'll start running Mini-clip games and get the arcade shut down. Damn!

IT dufas in our highly in debt govt that we Americans pay high amounts of taxes to entrust them
As someone who worked for NSA for 6 years defending our country, this remark is offensive. Contrary to the beliefs some of punk kids who have never served their country or know what it means to work in such an environment, the people who serve in this capacity are quite often the best in their field. To equate the quality of government employees to the amount of debt the country has, or the amount of taxes you pay, shows a genuine lack of understanding of how our government operates. Something tells me you don't pay all that much in taxes anyways.

Maybe next time, before you critize those who would help protect you from people like this, you'll think before making such an insensative remark.

Now I wouldn't say that they are OFTEN the best in their field, but some of them are, I will grant you that. Nowadays, being a government employee has about as much meaning and stigma attached to it as working for the post office (which is also a government employee).

I don't pay squat in taxes now (Veteran's Disibility) and I think the government sucks at any type of accounting. And it probably always will, sad to say.

As far as the younger generation not knowing what it's like to serve and protect, I don't know about you, but I had the same cocky attitude about it when I was their age. Their time will come. With age comes wisdom, or so they say (not in my case it seems these days).

Just my 4.25 cents worth (inflation).

I grew up in conservative New England where I rarely heard people talk disrespectfully of people in the government or the military. Serving your country, in whatever capacity, was considered honorable. To focus on the bad when there is so much good is a sign of a bitter or uneducated person - every profession, every company, every community has their deadbeats, to use those people as a sterotype is unfortunate.

Now, don't even get me started on our spending policies.

technically, you must visit who's "law" are they breaking? to be non-ethnocentric, you have to realize that terrorists aren't breaking their own laws. they may be breaking our laws of human decency, however, they don't subscribe to those laws.

that's why it is so hard to "win" when both sides play by different sets of rules.

Nice catch by the way, but let's hope that our govt is doing their job.....
Oh forget it, we're screwed.
If government wasnt doing its job then there would be a lot more dead than there are now. Its funny how we decry the 1% of failures but the 99% of successes are considered ho-hum. Thousands of soldiers have died since 9/11 and as a reward the uneducated and often misled masses in this country have been rewarded with no second 9/11 in almost 4 years. Where is the thanks for that?

Not everyone who works in government is Linda "My ass is too big" Tripp nor is everyone who works at IBM a convicted felon. Just do a google search and you will find plenty of malfeasance at any large corporation. The only difference is that goverment, by design, is a public entity that is responsible to the general public, not just taxpayers or shareholders.

Whenever someone mentions 'the government' I just know it is going to be something like "Ban the electoral college" or "Why do we have a defecit". I mean isnt it funny that after 200 years and many trillions spent on public education that most people didnt even know there was an electoral college? Oiye,,,
