Invite system hack

I would love to know if a mod like this is available, I've used the search engine and there was some talk about it before but it never went anywhere.

I run a private community and it all relies solely on my members inviting others to join, without an invite they can't join.

So kind of like the GMail system that google has.

It'd be great to tie it in with the Subscription feature in vB, basically all users get a set amount of users then can invite. It'll automatically generate a code and then they can give that code (or url with that code on it) to a user who has to enter the code (or click the url which automatically fills in that code) to register.

Once they've registered that code gets used up.

Subscription users can get even more invites then others or even an infinite amount of invites.

Is all this possible? I don't even know where to start in making this mod myself.

you can do like that,

every user got invite slots. and keycode

now adding to registen form a value of code
which user registen need to enter

now when guest came to registen form and enter a code
its search in user who have the same code as enterd and then from same user
its take out 1 slot.
also i can make for you a system that puts random code to each user every day
so if user want to invite some1 he enter to his profile to see the code and give it to his invited user.

Yeah that sounds great, except instead of every day can you make it a set amount of days. Something I could set via the Admin Panel.

For example I could say.. every X (15) days give each user Y (2) codes. So I can customise how much to give them and how long it'll take to give them.

Is it also possible to hook it up to the subscription feature in vB3? That way subscription members get an unlimited amount of invites? Or even better an amount different to all other groups, something I can set the amount they receive as well.

How much will this cost for you to code something like this? And do you take Paypal? Also how long would it take for you to code something like this?

Just out of curiousity...why the pointless gimmick with trying to be like Gmail and only giving people a limited amount of invites? Gmail does that because they have unlimited space, but for a forum(aside from the megaforums with hundreds of thousand of members) you want your members to recommend as many people as possible!!

I want it so that they think twice before emailing someone stupid and only invite those worth inviting due to the limit.
