Hey all,

First up, I have created a DHTML menu to include in the header of my vbulletin. The menu works fine in FireFox, Netscape, IE etc, however as soon as I put it into vBulletin the drop down menus either become compressed or jump to the top left of the screen.

Obviously theres some vBulletin shenanigans going on here, overiding the script somewhere along the line. I do not want to re-write my script because it works flawlessly in all browsers on all pages other than in vBulletin.

One thing that was strange, depending on where I inserted my script attributes the menu would move location.

Any ideas or help would be much appreciated,

I just worked out its because of the XHTML standard. Anything I can do to ignore this within my script?

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Can I simply change that to something else? What kind of features would I be losing in the board if I did that?

Well other than make it xhtml compliant.... you could always remove the doctype line.. but that isn't recommended!! :P
