Is there a hack where each user can upload an ad banner and url to the forum (in the user cp), and the banner will display at the top of all threads that they start.

This would be a good incentive for posting. People who post can have thier ad put up for free. Then on threads where a user has not set a banner, a generic ad will be shown.

It would be cool if you could have a random user's banner appeared if the poster did not have one set.

I am looking for something like this too. But I want something a little different...

1. On the forum home, FAQ, etc.. it rotates through a few banners I can add in the admin.
2. On threads it picks either an admin banner (From the ones added in the line above) or picks one from a member thats posted in the thread. If the person doesnt have a banner added it chooses another poster in that thread. If none of the posters have a banner added it picks an admin one.
3. User would have to upload the banner to the site so theres never any broken images.
4. Admin would have to approve each banner/link to make sure nothing "bad" is shown.

I would want to place the code for the banner in the header template so its next to my logo....

Yeah, I still am too. I got tied up on with a few things so I haven't been working on it latley, but I will start again tonight/tomarrow.
