I have a problem with forum permissions. I created a forum accessible only to moderators and admins but moderators are not able to view the forum. The moderators are primary users of a group called "Board Regulars" and additional users of the moderators group. However, if I change their primary membership to "Registered", they can see the forum. The forum has the following permissions:

It's more usual to have Moderators, Super Moderators and Administrators as Primary usergroups. It's likely that due to the extra abilities, the code only checks a Primary usergroup for moderating ability. Why not make your moderators Primary groups and set Board Regulars as a secondary usergroup.

Thanks chris. Although your suggestion solves my problem but the question still remains, why is it happening on my board? On another board that I setup (un-hacked), the permissions work fine.

Over the weekend, I compared the stock 3.0.3 (including the MySQL tables) with my modified board and the the changes to the PHP files are very minimal. I think it has something to do with the upgrades my board has undergone (from 2.x to 3.0).
