Little Icon

When browing through websites, a small icon next to the pages title is displayed, im wondering how i can change this for my site?

you mean in the address bar? if that is what you are talking about, download something like Icon Forge.. open up PhotoShop.. create you a simple but nice 100x100 image for your icon.. import that into Icon Forge, convert it to 16x16 and save it as favicon.ico..

upload that to the root of your site.. for instance.. http://www.yoursite.com/favicon.ico should bring the image up..

a lot of search engine spiders look for that file these days.. if you don't have it, you will notice a ton of 404 errors in your log refering to favicon.ico..

This is correct (usually) the following code would be helpful in your headinclude, on it's own line...

If icon is in your server root:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="$vboptions[homeurl]/favicon.ico" />

If icon is in your forum root:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="$vboptions[bburl]/favicon.ico" />

Is their any way this ico will be seen all over the site..
It only shows up on my home page... not any of the other pages, not even .index.php

Placeing the bit of code in the headerinclude template that Natch suppled for you should work.

Vbulletin will automaticlly pick it up if you put it in your root directory....... No need for code.

I believe I placed mine in the forums directory with global.php index.php ect...... I dunno I am at work and cant access it via ftp right now.
