The new VBadvanced CMPS allows you to have multiple front pages. It doesn't look as clean in the address bar, but its possible.

if you do a search for vb3nuke you can find someone else working on a multi-portal system that will probably release shortly.

I haven't used VBindex or any others so I don't know their capabilities.
