If you are like me and use both Magnus's VB Garage Hack, and you also use EvilLs1's TIMESLIP DATABASE then you're going to love this!

Simply edit your 'vbgarage_viewgarage' template this way:

FIND:
Code:
<td class="alt2" width="60%">$data[text]

Add right after:

Code:
<!-- performance stats block by SVTOA -->
<br>
<table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="$stylevar[cellspacing]" class="tborder" width="100%">
<tr>
<td class="tcat"><span class="smallfont"><b>My $data[year] $data[model] Performance Stats</b></span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="$getbgrow"><span class="smallfont">

<if condition="!$user['userid']">
<else />
<if condition="$user[field55] !='00.00'">
<b>My Best ET: <font color="red">$user[field55]</font>
<else />
This member has not added ET data to their vB Garage.
</if>
</if>
</span>
</td>
</tr>
<!-- best mph field -->
<tr>
<td class="$getbgrow"><span class="smallfont">
<if condition="$user[field56] !='00.00'">
<b>My Best MPH: <font color="red">$user[field56]</font>
</if>
</span>
</td>
</tr>
<!-- rwhp field -->
<tr>
<td class="$getbgrow"><span class="smallfont">
<if condition="$user[field51] !='0.0'">
<b>My RWHP: <font color="red">$user[field51]</font>
</if>
</span>
</td>
</tr>
<!-- best 60 foot time -->
<tr>
<td class="$getbgrow"><span class="smallfont">
<if condition="$user[field52] !='0.000'">
<b>My Best 60 foot time: <font color="red">$user[field52]</font>
</if>
</span>
</td>
</tr>
</td>
</tr>

</table>
<br/>

<!-- End PERFORMANCE STATS BLOCK -->

DONE!!!!

Now if a member has filled out the timeslip database "vehicle profile" fields, the info will display in this custom block! If they have not filled out the ET field, then all that will display is the message "This member has not added ET data to their vB Garage." (which you can edit to say whatever you want)

If they do not fill out the other fields, they simply will not display.

You do not have edit the field id's with this mod because EvilLS1's hack configures those fields the same on every board.

ENJOY!!!

Yes indeed. I did get it to work how I envisioned it would...

Looks like a great hack!! Have you thought about adding the ability to have some custom fields that can be added via the admincp so that there is some information that all users must submit. It would add some uniformity to the garages and would open up more possibilities for boards that aren't car related.

Can't wait to see your future releases.

Great addition svtoa

Ok, I have 2 issues. First, how can i make it so the user info stays at the top? See screenshot 1 below.........

Second -- I also have the ad colums hack --- but instead opf appearing on the side, it appears below on the users page-- (see screenshot2) but not on the main page of the garage. FYI I ahve the same probelm with the timeslips page.

You create 4 custom fields for the mod, then edit one template and you're done. If a member does not fill in the first custom field, an alternate message displays. If they leave any of the other custom fields blank, no info for that field displays (as opposed to 00.00)

Attached is a screenshot of how it looks and the instructions, which I will also post:

Its not looking like your screenshot for me. what am I missing? I've barely started to learn html so maybe thats why --- here is a screenshot.

Like Magnus has said, this thing is template driven, so you can set things up how you wish to. Example- if you created some fields that you want the user to fill out for the VBgarage, you can certanly force them to do so. I'm just tinkering with my own version of this hack, and I know a lot of you use the timeslip hack as well, so I thought I'd toss this out. I mean, you could go as far as you want to with this- you could edit my conditional statements to return any number of results based on what they put in these fields.
The way I did this, there aren't any "empty" fields displayed. You could edit this to make it so NOTHING shows up, no box, no message, nothing, unless the user enters timeslip data.
Personally, I like being able to "freeform" UBB code in the text area. Many of my members have made some very cool garages using the free-form setup.
If you wanted to make this act like say "cardomain" you could setup a system where all the info that shows up in the text area is relative to input in custom fields for the garage.

Joey, it looks like your custom fields for the timeslip hack do not match mine, I haven't seen that before. it's easy to fix though, just view the properties of all your custom fields and make note of the numbers.

It looks like you have double-pasted the code into your template. You need to go back and look it over. In the screenshot you posted, your vehicle type is showing up as your best ET, so that field ID number is obviously wrong.

Here's what you should do:

List the field numbers for:

Best ET
Best MPH
RWHP
Best 60 foot

Make sure the numbers for these fields as they relate to YOUR forums match the code in the template. The way DeWayne constructed his hack, the custom fields for the timeslip database are numbered in the 50's. Not many forums have 50+ custom fields. Does yours?? I have no idea why your fields would have different numbers than mine, that's not how the timeslip hack was constructed. Unless you simply have fubared the whole code from moving things around?

With regard to your first post, you must have pasted the code into the wrong place. Now it appears you have solved that issue.

FWIW, you can put this anywhere in the garage you wish to. I had it over by the photo thumbs column but felt it looked better where it is now. You als can change the fonts and tables and such, it's not set in stone how this should look. I have installed this on two sites and it looks/works perfectly on each one.

you know -- I read that 3 times svt and I still dont understand half of it.

I am very new at all this, although learning (slowly). Dont know where to find the custom field numbers you refer to and simply installed the hacks exactly as instructed.

I understand Joe, we've all been there.

Open your forums cpanel area and scroll down to "user profile fields" then expand that option and select "user profile field manager". Now all your custom fields should display in a list, which will also identify each one by number. On my board, here are how mine are numbered as they relate to this hack:

Best ET: 55
Best MPH: 56
RWHP: 51
Best 60 foot: 52

Yours should be the same. Also, you must have been doing some editing because you posted different screenshots.

I am trustworthy and work for Ford Motor Company, I am not going to mess with your forum. If you want me to help, I can register, give me admin access and I'll fix it for you. I will be out for several hours this afternoon but will be back online tonight...
