I really want to get Vb... but... I have a very high modded template in phpbb

check http://www.planetscifi.net to see what i mean..

will it be able to us this template?
will it change it in anyway?

all the graphics have been moded and it is just the way i love it.. also the members love it and Id like to more to Vb with very little cosmtic damage to the site.

also.. do i need a portal system install.. coz i dont really like em.. I love my homepage the way it is... it took ages to do it in Photoshop

Also.. I like to have a Test Site for hack tests.. do i need 2 licenses? or can i have a main forum and a test forum running at no extra cost?

I'm just evaluating like yourself, sure one of the staff will answer you, but I have read a previous query regarding a test site, a license allows users to also run a test forum for development/testing purposes but it must not be available to the public.

According to the license you can have one private test site for testing anything you like, but it must remain private.

You wont be able to just use it, vBulletin's template system is rather differnt.

That said, for the the style you would either need to port it over your self or pay someone to do it for you. But its more than possible to make vB look realtivly the same with some work.

vbulletin has the easiest skinning system
shouldn't be hard to convert it over at all
