Physically removing deleted posts
Hiya: As the admin of my site, I hate having to go around seeing all of the altered or deleted posts while browsing the board. It's very annoying, and unfortunately, VB3 didn't incorporate any way to prune them en masse. If someone could come up with a simple script to remove these annoying buggers, I would happily name my next cat after them.
Thanks, Moné |

There are two ways to skin that cat.
First, using the prune function in the ACP, you can filter for those marked as deleted. Second, you can install the deleted posts/threads hack (which I LOVE!) which will put a link in your ACP to review them and you can see them all in one place to delete. Link for that is here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=59807 |

With that hack, all you can do is view them, though, right? Can it be added to permanently delete them with this hack, too?

I'll try the hack out, and if it works, I pledge my undying love to you. Mon? |

I believe that there is a request in for a delete in the ACP to that hack. I am just happy having them all in one place where I can get to them and open tabs to can them.

Ah, okay, it doesn't have a delete function in there, but it does show me that I'm now about thirty deleted posts behind. Oy.
Well, you still have my undying love anyway, Christine. And we'll name the cat Boofo. |
