Ok there's a couple hacks I was curious about, and I tried to do some finding, but I didn't exactly know what to use as terms for the first one.
1) Add fields to the profile on thread view. For example, you add a field to the profile, and it also is included on every post in their info below their avatar etc. So I want to add the field Phones Used: and it show up on their post information. This might not even be a hack, but I tried to see if I could get it, couldn't. 2) Is there a Hover Hack for VB 3 RC 3 yet? So you can hover a thread and read the post. Then my last question isn't hack related. But when I go to options on RC 3 not thru the admin view, but throught the user CP, there is the different options that are surrounded by a black box. Well some of the information has exceeded the box. So I'm sure it's a setting I changed but not sure which one it is. |

Add fields to the profile on thread view.
edit your postbit template, when u created a custom profile field, it will be something like: field4 . If I remember right, there are 3 custom profile field on default. Watch your templates, you will know how to add. For e.g: Biography is a custom profile field, it is showed when u view profile, then u can see the profile template, there must be something like $field3 in there. Install vb3, hover any thread and you can read the some ( can edit in ACP) of the 1st post. |

As you guys can tell I'm pretty new at this. I've gotten a few other hacks accomplished but not this one. I don't know if it's maybe the query that I am messing up.
I had one more questions. 1) On my forum it shows at the bottom when I'm viewing a thread, it shows Currently active viewers. I assume that's who's viewing the thread as well. What do I have to do to make that at the top like vbulletin.org has it. |
