Secure forum hack It's here but I can't find it
It's not done with passwords. It works by eliminating certain user groups (by number) to a a specific forum you want to keep invisable to the other user groups.
Like I said.. It's not done by Passwords at all.. If I remember correctly.. it's a quite smple hack... but above my knowledge..LOL |

Just set your vBulletin permissions correctly, no hack needed.

Ot even I believe a regular search will bring up a persons post that may be inside the forum to which you want to be kept secured. |

Not if the permissions are set correctly and you are using the latest version of 2.x, the only two places where you may get any hint of a private post is the last post title in the user profile (not sure if thats an issue still) or on the forumhome page if you have it set to show hidden forums that users can't access. If they appear via the search for members who don't have access then you've set the permissions wrong.
Remember that you'll see them in the search results because you have access to them |

That worked like a charm.. I had to set up a third account to check the second account.. The guy taht used to be in charge of doing the permission masks apparently shouldn't have been doing it.. We had people coming in from every direction
