Ok, I'm trying to make a login form on one of my portals.
It seems to be working fine, when they enter their username and password, it submits the form, goes to the vB login page, says they're logged in and then returns them to my index.php where they logged in from. The problem is, once they get back to index.php, it's not showing them as logged in, nor does it show them as logged in if they browse to the forums. If they login on the forums page, and then goto my index.php it shows them as logged in. Any suggestions would help :ermm: Basically I have; Code:
<form method="post" action="http://sieged.net/forums/login.php" onsubmit="md5hash(vb_login_password,vb_login_md5password)"> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.sieged.net/forums/clientscript/vbulletin_md5.js"></script> <input type="hidden" name="s" value=""> <input type="hidden" name="do" value="login"> <input type="hidden" name="forceredirect" value="1"> <input type="hidden" name="vb_login_md5password"> <table width="100%" cellspacing=0 cellpadding=1> <tr><td colspan=2><input type="text" name="vb_login_username" style="width: 100%;" accesskey="u" value="username" onfocus="if (this.value == 'username') this.value = '';"></td></tr> <tr><td colspan=2><input type="password" name="vb_login_password" style="width: 100%;" accesskey="p" value="password" onfocus="if (this.value == 'password') this.value = '';"></td></tr> <tr><td><input type="checkbox" name="cookieuser" value="1" accesskey="c" checked="checked" class="radio"> Remember Me?</td><td align="right"><input type="submit" name="submit" value="Login" style="width: 45px;" title="Enter your username and password in the boxes provided to login, or click the 'register' button to create a profile for yourself." accesskey="s"></td></tr> </table> </form> |

I think you would have to fetch a cookie on their computer from your forums (the one saying they are logged in), because that code only makes the login stuff, it doesn't see if they are already logged in.

I have a different set of code checking if they're logged in, this is supposed to send them to login.php and redirect them back (which it does, it just doesn't log them in even tho it says it does).
I use a include('../forums/global.php') on all of my pages, and im using if ($bbuserinfo['userid'] > 0) $me = $bbuserinfo['username']; or something similar to check if they're logged in |
