Well, I don't see them releasing security updates for vB 1.x.x

vb2 won't be supported when vb3 FINAL is out, as long as that isn't releases, vb2 is the actual product and all security holes will be fixed when appearing

You have to put it into context

He was asking for incentives to upgrade to vB3 ... that is, unless you consider upgrading to beta software an ideal proposition...

ive been running beta since it started and ive had no major problems

I would upgrade, only my whole site runs from hacks - my site would be reduced to a forum - that may be where it started, but my users would soon disappear to a rival.
