Using bbcode for something totally different

I have a completely different section of my site where users enter information into a database. As of right now, it is just a text box and any text formatting must be done with direct HTML. However, I want to make this easier for non technical people who are using it and allow them to have access to the bbcode. I guess I basically want to set up a situation similar to adding a new post, but on a non-vB page. They would have all the JS buttons to add bbcode right above the text box.

Anyone have any idea on how to do this?
