Help me plz! · **Released**: 11-27-2003

I need a vb guru's help in the optimization of my forum home page (vB 2.2.9 on PHP 4.3.1):
41 queries... in 2.951 seconds... (6.86% PHP - 93.14% MySQL).
(please don't lough too loud...) ;-))))))
I installed Bane's vBstats, microstats, last post title.

PS: last time I installed an optimizer (one that removes blank spaces), all forum was messed up ... just my luck I made a backup ...

we had a problem with the nr of new posts since last visit. It took 80 seconds to load the front page. After putting an index on the appropriate table, it loads in 0.2 seconds again. It might be worth doing that.

Best to to find out which queries cause the biggest load is to use debug mode, and use the results to hunt down the problem and fix it.
