I agree with LORD DEXTER ... the site as a whole is a little confusing. I'm sure you will change it.

Anyway, I like that you are trying to change the layout ... something that is non-existences in the vb world. However, I think that the post/thread count shoud be next to the category title; and, replace the current post/thread count area with LAST POST. After that, you can add a right column to the layout. Thus, giving your more space to add links, advertisements, or whatever.
