Default Need help on moving vB Forum into the website root dir

Hey guys. I know this is probably easy, but I don't have time to try and figure it out for myself (crunch time baby) so I'm hoping one of you guys can get me started at least.

What I've done is moved the forum down into the root dir of our website (so its easier to tie the forum and website together). I've renamed the forum index.php to board.php but now, of course, I have all the calls in the forum templates and code (redirects, nav links, etc) and such going to my website index.php. What steps do I need to take to make sure that everything in the forum goes to board.php instead of index.php?

We're still using vB 2.3.2 (not moving to vB3 until it goes final).

My apologies if this has been answered before. I did a search but couldn't find what I'm looking for.

Thanks for any help.

would be 10000000 times ezier in vb3 as it can be dynamicly assinged via the acp.
you could leave it index.php and just use htaccess to point to home.html or whatever for the main file which would save you some trouble

I suggest searching all of the PHP files for index.php and replacing it with board.php. Be careful though, because there's also mod/index.php and admin/index.php . Also search in templates.

Although vB3 would be far easier given it has the admin CP option as he said.

i think my second suggestion would be the ideal, making htaccess use a differnt index page instead of index.php. this would slove his problem and no hacking or modifying needed

Good idea, too, although it conflicts with common standards...

The htaccess option would be great, but we're on a IIS/Win2k3 box. I'll have to ask if there's an equivelant option in IIS for using a file other than index.php as the DirectoryIndex for a specific directory.

Do you guys think vB3 Beta 7 is good enough now for high demand use?
