Hint: the PHP coloring is done by PHP's absolutely horrible colorizing function.

And vBCode doesn't work in [code] tag which I find annoying

If I knew PHP's syntax to the letter or had a specification I'd consider doing it (it's just a bunch of regexps). PHP's godawful function adds extra random spaces, newlines, useless font tags, etc.
