Default In honor of all who died...

April 24, 1915 is considered the darkest day in the Armenian history. It marks the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. It is estimated that 1.5 million Armenians were killed by the Turkish Ottoman Empire.

I will keep it short. But feel free to check out the following link for more info: Armenian Genocide FAQ

On the subject of people who died, April 25th is Anzac Day in where many lives were lost with the fight at Gallipoli in 1915 I think. (During WW1)

You should hear the story from the other party:

Armenian are telling that they are killed by Turks and Turks are saying that when Turkish Army was fighting with Russians in the first world war in the northern border, Armenians inside the country rebelled and cooperated with Russian army attacking civilian Turkish people and making a genocide. According to Turkish history thousands of civilian Turks are killed by the Armenian rebels.

I'm NOT into politics and I will NOT discuss this issue here or somewhere else but I'm just giving the other side of the story and like to stress that Turkish people are also mourning for their civilian loses who were killed by Armenian rebels while their army was fighting in many borders and was not available to put down the betraying rebelians.

As Xenon stated, if you go dig into history, you can hear many sad stories especially in "World War" days and you really can not know the truth when you have clashing stories from different parties.. It is a "world war" and many lives were lost from all involving parties..

All deserves a respect and mourning, not only people from a certain nationality..
