Bit of a weird one, I cant see how you do it yet, so I thought Id ask

I want to make a hidden forum that is not on the forum index and is not viewable by "registered" users. However, when we post a thread in this forum, I dont want it to show in the "View new posts" search, BUT I would like to be able to directly link to the thread to enable users to view JUST the thread.

So basically, a forum I can post threads on that NOBODY can see BUT I can link directly to the threads for other users to see.

Is this possible?

enter displayorder 0
This is from the vbulletin.com web site..

Quote:
set usergroup permissions for the registered usergroup posting to no in Admincp > Forum Permissions

That will allow admins to post new threads and replies but only let registered users view the page.

To stop it showing on forumhome you will need to set displayorder to 0, thought this will remove the forum from your view as well.

Removing it from the view new posts is not possible without hacking.
How do I remove the new threads/posts from the "View new posts" search?

Thanks!

hmm, as said if you set the displayorder to 0 it will not occur on the view new posts page AFAIK.

also be sure to set the permissions for the registred usergruop to Can search forum -> no
