I looked and I couldn't find a hack for this.
If it does exist, I apologies and could someone please point me in the right direction.

I would like the ability to stop certain users from posting in certain threads for a period of time. As we know, sometimes threads get heated and it would be good to be able to cool a user down. They will still be able to post in other threads and forums, just not the one selected by either an admin or moderator.

You have to manually unban the user. However, it wouldn't be too hard to modify the script and make the bans last a certain amount of time.
