I do that too. It takes an extra few seconds but it's so useful when it comes to upgrading

Upgrading is easy when you do the hackstart/stop and use a comparing program. Just keep track of what files you have edited and what hacks you have installed and it's quite easy.

But yes, vb3 converting will take a bit of work but I haven't installed many hacks (Just portal and quick reply) so I'll do fine.
